The EPICC Program offers a free bi monthly School Nurse Webinar Series during the school year. Educational Webinars are held on the 1st Wednesday of every other month, October thru June at 2:30 pm MT. You can participate in the events via full live web streaming from your computer through GoToWebinar. Additional events may occur throughout the year.

Use It of Lose It: CPR and AED Funding Now Available in Utah

October 1, 2014 from 2:30PM-3:30PM

Marc Watterson is a graduate of BYU, with a BA in Political Science and a Minor in Communications. He has been heavily involved in Utah politics for a number of years, as a legislative intern, campaign manager, contract lobbyist, and now as the Director of Government Relations for the American Heart Association (a 501(c)3 Non-profit Organization). The AHA was instrumental in both pieces of legislation that helped provide funding for the AED Placement Program and the CPR and AED Training in Schools Program. He is well versed in each of these programs and has made presentations on them to a variety of groups and settings.

Description

Objectives:
  •   By the end of this presentation, attendees will:

    • Have a working knowledge of the background of both the AED and CPR & AED funding opportunities
    • Understand the importance of using these funds
    • Receive guidance (documents, links, and directions) on how to help their schools take advantage of the funding provided by the state
    • Have any and all germane questions answered
